Big Bird Lover

hello. presently i have parrots, macaws, conures and rosellas in my possession, but i dont have parrots that are endemic to the philippines. but im still glad to be here. thanks for inviting me. cheers

you don't need to have endemic birds, this forum also welcomes non-endemic birds as long as nasa Pilipinas ka. cheers

2 reasons tlga eh..

1st....malaki expectation ko na malaki un makukuha ko...mahiyain ksi me kaya nun andun na pumili nalang me khit na dko gusto..

2nd...need ko tlga ng male para 2 na un pair ko...visual comparison malaki tlga chances nya na female as compare sa mga current ko..

Pero lesson learn na tlga... nakatatak na sa utak ko tlga na kpag sinabi ng breeder " bka 2 months etc" hwag na bumili..I believe khit na sobra dami ng mga ibon ng isang breeder dpat may record sila ng bawat ibon..

Un ngayon fault ko for buying, walang may kasalanan..next time magiging vigilant nko..bsta ayaw ko khit gumastos na sa pamasahe at sa abala wala nko pake...lalo na un mga walang after sales support..hindi nga ko nanghinayang dun sa pera na pinambili ko eh..nakakapanghinayang un nasirang reputasyon...

kaya sa mga nagbabalak bumili ng parrot kuha muna kayu advice kay Sister Juel para hindi kayu magsisi sa bandang huli..hehee

i feel sorry for newbies kasi in buying birds. most of the time, illegal sellers and traders take advantage of their ignorance sa pagbili ng ibon. kaya ang nangyayari nagsisisisi sila in the end after buying the birds, narerealize nila na hindi tama yun binili nila or hindi nasunod yun ineexpect nila. at least with forums like these, naadvisan muna sila ng mga mas nakakaalam before they actually make the purchase.

by the way Sister Juel kpag baby pa un parrot at nagkaroon ng maliit na tama sa beak ( mukhang tinuka ng kapwa nya ) di nman butas pero malalim...nagheheal pa ba un beak? i mean mawawala un deep scratch?

yes mawawala din yan. beaks grow like nails so pag humaba yun beak nya, mawawala din yang mark na yan. but unlike nails, beaks wear off when the birds chew so they actually retain their normal and desired lengths.

but may mga chances din na hindi gumagaling ung damage sa beak lalo na kung may fungus na nakapasok sa whole and magstart na magspread, so maintain po dapat ung sanitation ng damage part and proper diet pa rin,... Smile

I hope ito na yung rainforest na hinahanap ko na puro huni lang ng mga macaws, cockatoos, lories, conures, parakeets, sari-saring parrots at iba't ibang mga ibon lang ang maririnig ko...paminsan-minsan boses din ng mga tao.....hahahah Laughing

Ano ang nangyari sa cockatoo mo? Kwentuhan mo naman kami. Ang ganda pa naman nya sa pix. Mukha syang maamo at matalino. Meron din kasi akong umbrella cockatoo, si Coco. She is very cuddly at nakakapagsalita na.
