Istorya ng pagiging avianist niyo?

I started when I was grade 6, pinalabas ang paulie, naqpagkamalan kong blue naped parrot, halos hawig kasi e, sandali lang tinuro sakin ang handfeeding nagets ko na kagad, 30 pesos lang ang cerelac that time, ngayon nasa 40-41 na. nung natuto ako mag net 3rd yr hs, panay ask me kung anung klase yung parrot na nakuha ko, di pa rin masagot, ilang books na nabasa ko wala pa rin, e lage ko kasama mamasyal kaya may nakapagsabi na blue naped daw hehehe. nahasa tuloy knowledge ko sa ibon dahil kakabasa, kaya naging hilig ko na rin sila. kaso I think am weird, sabi kasi sakin bibihira o wala daw babaeng mahilig sa birds e huhuhu, I mean this kind of full knwledge about them. nu sa tingin niyo?

Its okay to like birds kahit babae ka, people, look at her experiences. It just proves to show how little information there is about our local breeds.

hehehe, i can share naman my experiences dahil nakapag alaga na rin me ng bnp dati, too many books na nabasa at mga info sa net, I can advice some, but not enough about breeding hehehe.

We are both influenced by media. Nagsimula ang hilig ko sa birds, particularly sa cockatoo nung mapanood ko noon ang TV series na “Baretta.” I was fascinated sa alagang super funny at talino na cockatoo named “Fred” ng bidang police na si Baretta. From then on as a young boy ay pinangarap ko na someday ay magkaroon din ako ng cockatoo. Madalas akong pumunta noon sa Cartimar kahit walang pera patingin-tingin lang sa mga binebentang cockatoo. Kontento na ako nun basta makakita lang ako ng cockatoo at patuloy na inasam-asam na magkaroon ng pangarap na ibon. Ang mura pa noon at ang dami, P1,500. lang at may tawad pa.

I noticed too that only few women in our country are interested in birds.
Red Phoenix you are not only weird but a rare specie hahaha…joke lang. There is no gender preference when it comes to love and passion for birds. But for somebody your age having that extensive knowledge about birds it’s quite exceptional. I hope you will continue to share it.

Gustung gusto pa din ni Coco ng cerelac mixed fruits at naging mahilig din sya sa rice. Palagi namin syang binibigyan ng mixed vegetables at fruits. Ang pinaka gusto nya ay mongo sprouts. We give her daily limited sunflower seeds, egg food at twice a week na dog food.
Paminsan-minsan kinukutkot din nya ang feather nya. Ugali na talaga yata ito ng mga cockatoos. Kapag na-bored sila isa ito sa pinagtitripan nila. We are trying to train her to stop what she is doing when we tell her “No” and instill in her mind that when she hears this word from us what she is currently doing is not right and that we don’t like her to continue doing it. So everytime she screams or plucks her feather we say “No” to her. So far, parang may improvement na sa kanya recognizing this word. Ano naman ang training mo kay Lupe?

it started 1997 wen i received a green bird i'm not sure if wat kind cya... den followed by pugak my parrot... it is my uncle who encourages me to luv birds he always give me birds wen he arrived from bohol even now he always ask me if he shuld bring one wen he arrived from bohol... most of dem escape from der cages dey won't last long in my possession...hehehehehe... so far i only have one bird...
